Artisan bread loaves cooling in a rustic kitchen

Our Story

Baked with Patience,
Shared with Love.

Where It Started

How It All Began

It started, as most good things do, on a quiet Saturday morning. Flour on the counter, a jar of sourdough starter on the windowsill, and the particular kind of patience that bread demands. There was no plan to start a bakery — just a deep love for the process, and a growing pile of loaves that needed somewhere to go.

Friends and neighbors started asking. Then asking again. Then asking if they could order ahead. And somewhere between the first loaf and the hundredth, Jane Dough & Co. was born — not as a business plan, but as a natural extension of something that had always felt like a calling.

Our Philosophy

Simple Ingredients. Extraordinary Care.

Slow by Design

We don't rush. Our sourdough ferments for 18–24 hours. Our croissants are laminated over two days. Good bread can't be hurried, and we wouldn't want it to be.

Simple Ingredients

Flour, water, salt, time. We source quality ingredients and let them do the work. No shortcuts, no additives, no compromises.

Small Batch, Always

We bake in small quantities so every loaf gets the attention it deserves. When something sells out, it means it was made with care — not scaled for convenience.

Deeply Personal

Every order is handled by hand, from start to finish. We know our customers by name, remember their favorites, and take genuine pride in what we put in the bag.

The best food is made slowly, shared generously, and eaten with people you love.

What We Believe

We believe that baking is an act of care — for the people you're feeding, for the ingredients you're working with, and for the craft itself. In a world that moves fast, we choose to move slowly. To let the dough rest. To wait for the right moment. To do things properly, even when no one is watching.

Meet the Baker

Hi, I'm Jane.

I've been baking since I was tall enough to reach the counter. My grandmother taught me that bread is never just bread — it's a gesture, a gift, a way of saying 'I thought about you today.' That's the spirit I try to bring to every single thing that comes out of this kitchen.

Jane Dough & Co. is a one-woman operation, baked out of my home kitchen in small batches. I take pride in knowing where my flour comes from, in maintaining a sourdough starter that's older than most of my houseplants, and in the fact that every loaf you receive has been touched by exactly one pair of hands — mine.
